They keep saying leftists won, but it seems to be coalition with centrists?

Is this just Western media calling liberals leftists again or did France actually elect a real leftist government?

The left union is soc Dem/centrist. There is the PCF (French communist party) in it, which has been soc dem, NPA (new anticapitalist party, which has split up), LFI (Mélenchon's party), EELV (Greens) and the PS (socialist party, which has been between center left and right depending on the people in it. Macron came from there, former president Hollande is still in it)
