At what level do we get actual progressives/a left party in the USA?
Probably never honestly. The dems will run whoever they want and we will continue to vote blue regardless
And then anyone that suggests that elections aren't going to fix the root issues is shamed for ushering in fascism.
Electoral reform at the state level so people can vote outside the two party system with no spoiler effect.
The one where progressives start actually engaging with the levers of power by pursuing leadership positions in the Democratic party, consistently putting forward good candidates in the primaries and actually showing up to vote for said candidates.
So what is the plan after they do that then get shut out immediately?
Need ranked voting and money out of politics but neither party will allow that
How about we try actually doing something first instead of immediately declaring defeat?
Because that's been the history of the democratic party and it doesn't matter how much we do until that is addressed.
When you bust your ass for the lower positions and build consensus. Republicans are doing it.
Yes the ones flooded with money are busting their asses...
And that doesn't work when the left party works hardest to break anything thst would move the party left.
So at what point do we get actual progressives in? Or at least finally get gop and dnc to merge so an actual party can take their place
