If something that bad is gonna happen why would the ascendant parties still want power? Although you're right, it is weird that they all just give up so easily. Maybe

have something in common, they have liberal leaders who decided to have fascists win instead of leftists (going back to 2020 primaries in the case of the US, and being generous to Bernie). The UK I think was just unavoidable to the extent that there was no reason to try.
