Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Lol called it the other day dems are once again going to do the stupidest thing imagineable.

The dems currently have two options.

Switch him out now and actually have time to run a campaign for the new candidate or just run Biden the whole time.

Based on my predictive reasoning of "dems will fuck up every election as badly as physically possible" i guarentee they waffle on this for another month, swap somebody in way to late, and squander both possible opportunities.

It's really not a good sign that "think of the fucking stupidest thing possible" is a really effective way to predict dems political strategies.

The only thing that right now seems to be too dumb even for them is swapping him out for Hillary on October 20th, so I assume that's what they're going to do.

I think all of the potential candidates are now hedging their bets and waiting to run in 2028 because they don't want to be the person that ate shit against him after the assassination attempt.

Yep, it's also why the calls to kick Biden off the ticket have fallen off. The Democrats have just resigned themselves to defeat and would rather Biden eat the blame for it instead of the rabblerousers who get him ousted, who would have egg on their face if Biden's replacement lost to Trump.

Democrat politicians can be well understood when you realize that they are all just individual careerist opportunists with no greater plan or coherent party platform. Sticking one's own neck out to get Biden out is risky and could have downsides, whereas Democrats being in the wilderness campaigning against Trump is easy and risk free. Democrat motto: Keep your head down, get paid, tell everyone they're valid and you hear them
