I just got a check in the mail after waiting about 6 months for $2000! I guess it was just some old BoA account I somehow abandoned.

Just google your state + unclaimed property and you should find a site that tells you how to find and claim your shit. Some states make it easy some its more annoying. The state has to hold it for you and they are just earning interest on its value, so go get it.

Awesome post!

I just did this, filed a claim and quickly got an email that they're sending $31. Plus I'm filing several for my deceased father. I also had several family members who have unclaimed property.
