I don't know most of these cards but I assume this is a typical rakdos aggro. The furnaces and dross pits and carnarium are slow. The jagged barrens are also kinda slow but they at least work towards the game plan (hurt opponent).
I don't know much about fast pauper mana bases, but it seems to me you could replace those 9 lands with basics.
I feel like it should be aggro but I keep pushing it towards the midrange for no real conceivable benefit other than card draw which I probably wouldn't need if I just kept the deck faster. A part of me says "Just scale it back to keep it aggro" but the other part says "fuck it, just lean all the way into the pseudo midrange shtick and see what that does". I was never really worried about how competitively viable my decks are
Nothing in your deck costs more than 3cmc, with most of it being 1-2. Nothing midrange about that.
also where's your lightning bolts? You should run lightning bolt.
I don't like running meta cards and Lightning Bolt doesn't really fit in with the whole theme I'm trying to go for. Yeah it doesn't make for a good deck but I'm still having fun with it
as for the CMC? eh, there's not many pauper legal black or red cards that would fit well in this deck, I think. I ran some Bushmeat Poachers for a bit for the card draw but didn't find they worked that well
