An audit will correct things, not cost Trump.

The reason why Trump is against it is because he knows he did shady things that most likely won't hold up in daylight.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 0 points 6 months ago

Why do you think he waited six years from inauguration to release his tax returns for public disclosure?

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 32 points 6 months ago (2 children)

$30 million when the appetite court cuts it by 2/3.

[–] Neato@ttrpg.network 28 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Turns out they just weren't that hungry.

The supper court will have the final say.

[–] ShepherdPie@midwest.social 2 points 6 months ago

There's always the chance he could get it overturned in the court of apples.

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

Goddamnit, I'm leaving it.

[–] randompasta 2 points 6 months ago

*Trump appointed.

[–] cley_faye@lemmy.world 26 points 6 months ago

It's ok, I've heard he's a billionaire (after people resume sending him money).

And once again, nothing will happen

Had this been a minority with a couple of joints on him and they would have lynched him before getting to the Station

In case it wasn’t clear, this was the audit trump used to avoid releasing his tax info during his presidency.

The tax agency concluded in its long-running investigation that Trump effectively claimed the same massive write-off twice on his failed Chicago tower.

Why amplify his bullshit here? If I wanted to see the mad ravings of this geriatric crook I'd go to the source

Edit: above comment was sarcasm (see response below). Leaving for thread comprehension

The scary things is that I can't tell whether or not that's a real Trump post or a parody and apparently neither can you.

[–] Everythingispenguins@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

Honestly you can usually tell because most people can't help but spell things correctly and use full sentences. So if a "quote" has proper spelling and grammar, regardless how crazy it sounds. It's just someone imitating him. There is no way he can spell unconstitutional and I'm sure his autocorrect has committed suicide.

Awh damn, I fell for it. Terrifying that I did not even consider for a second whether this shit was real or not due to just how numb I've become to his ramblings

[–] skulblaka@startrek.website 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I mean, fake tweet or not, it's made up entirely of words and phrases he's been barfing all over us for several years now. Each of these sentences individually have been tweeted by Trump multiple times.

[–] ouRKaoS 2 points 6 months ago

So We've machine learned what a trump tweet looks like, and can regurgitate them a will...
