North Koreans know what cell phones are. Many have their own specifically made for North Korea with their own private network & walled internet access, iirc.
It was a joke.
I bet they also know what food is.
You'd be surprised at how many people state false "facts" about NK, as if its people are emerging Neanderthals.
Unfortunately, you often have to assume that statements like these are serious. Because many are.
No worries!
And you might be surprised how many misconceptions about neanderthals are out there. Sure, they didn't have smartphones but they still had social media and stuff
I wonder what was so interesting that caught that dudes attention.
