Admitting that brain damage made him more conservative. Got it.

[–] Broken_Monitor@lemmy.world 31 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ah geez who would have thought those two things are related?

Just another evil, corrupt scumbag, now 😞

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 33 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Being elected gave him the freedom to shout "suckers!" and sprint to the right.

He's just doing what Democrats do.

I call them Democrats. I'm not going to call them the only thing they aspire to be.

I don't really know anything about this guy, but i highly doubt he was even 'progressive' in the first place? What exactly did he do before, just say nice things, hence being 'progressive'? Whatever.

He was (and still is to a certain extent) fairly progressive for a US politician. A look at his campaign issues page shows that he is pro LGBTQ rights, pro worker's rights, pro gun control, pro Medicare, and so on.

It's really his outspoken and unequivocal support for Israel that has soured a lot of people on the Left.

He was also super pro cannabis.

OK then it is strange he's going around saying he has been freed from progressivism.

Do centrist democrats talk like this?

[–] delirious_owl@discuss.online 2 points 1 year ago

What's a centrist Democrat? All US Democrats are right of center.

Two men with brain damage have a conversation

Wait what did I miss? I thought Fetterman was supposed to be one of the good ones

(I'm not American)

The guy had a stroke and he hasn't been the same since. He's been doing and saying things that alienate his base (disavowing progressivism, being a cheerleader for Israel, etc.)

Another tragic victim of Kevin Sorbo's Disease .

At least he just got into a car accident.

You mean like in cartoons, if one hit to the head with a frying pan makes you lose your memories, another hit will make them come back?

Can't hurt to try. And if it doesn't work, try, try again.

[–] PowerCrazy@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 year ago

Can't wait to be told that he is absolutely the best possible person for the job, and that it is absurd to even think about not voting for him despite his stated views. US Democracy is so cool and great.

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago

Rat bastard.

[–] donescobar@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

When the onion said he “respecced” they were not joking lol this man took a 180 turn. Everything he ran on and got him elected went out the window.
