Am I the only one that gets a nails-on-chalkboard feeling from “how it looks like”?

It’s either “what it looks like”, or “how it looks”. Not some amalgamation of both.

Same here in Northern New Zealand. It has been biblically wet for 2 years now. It should finally dry out if El Niño happens.

[–] nosurf@unilem.org 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Ive read that NZ will likely be the best place to survive climate change. Which is why all the billionare bunker boys are setting up shop there

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not even necessarily billionaires. Spez is one of those weirdos that thinks they can buy loyalty in the apocalypse

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Isn't he a billionaire, though?

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

No, he's worth about $10 million

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

You mean he HAS $10m and is worth less than nothing 😉

[–] regeya@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

How vulnerable are those billionaire bunkers to earthquakes?

Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

[–] RustedSwitch@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Interesting! Well, hello from the north, where your picture has been my life for the last few months. I wonder if we’re about the same distance from the Equator.

Can we trade? I’ve decided to choose financial ruin over heat stroke.

[–] jrwperformance@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Seems like non stop rain in Alaska. So...many... mosquitos...

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Don’t get your climate science from politicians. Listen to climate scientists instead.

[–] uglytruck@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The doom and gloom has been happening since the early 70's yet here we are when we should have been frozen, burnt to a crisp, frozen, dehydrated to death, seen New York City underwater, burnt to a crisp again and then frozen. The headlines could be made by a Magic 8 Ball. Its not science when the data is hidden by the words "Proprietary"

Do you even read any science journals? This shit is all out there. Nobody is hiding anything.

Most predictions that have been made have been coming true. Can you show me where any of your examples were stated to have happened by 2023?

Also you do realize other places in the world will have different climate change effects.. so two extreme weather patterns could happen at once its not like it would be one quick hug of death

P.S. i truly hope youre right

I live on the southeast of Brazil. It's night right now and I'm feeling like I was inside of a refrigerator. 🥶

[–] Cassilda@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Climate change denialist meme.

[–] moonmeow@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

i don't think it's denying climate change, just suggesting that it's experiencing different weather and climate patterns.

I guess someone could interpret the meme as mocking ppl who.. you know, still have some grip on reality.
