It's not the first time it happens. Everyone has reporters writing and updating old celebrities' obituaries on their down time because then they can publish a more complete and higher quality article when the inevitable happens. The problem is when someone fires the pre-written obituary because of some rumour or bad source and then everyone else does the same because no one wants to be the last one to report the news.
It's happened for at least 100 years, in fact.

9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
