The amount of cringe when reading this is beyond infinite. Like what is this cult-like preach and behavior 😂

And how much more privileged this person can be?? ”That’s why we keep coming back”. Like does she realize most people can’t afford going even once. She seems so ignorant, not relatable at all.

Also, I miss the reddit snark, it’s wrong we got banned, reddit is full of similar pages about other influencers. Is there any hope getting it back? Very ironic that this new platform is called lemmy..

I sense the PMDD coming in full throttle now that she’s back to “reality”

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

PMDD is out and a new ailment is coming in hot ….. ADHD

[-] Rarepotato@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago

Somehow, her losing weight will be bc of a new med she takes that also has miraculously cured her PMDD; who knew?! Wait for it

[-] Tightlikespandex@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Good take! Watch this come to life! I took Vyvanse (adhd med) my doctor thought I was adhd which was causing all my anxiety. I love 20lbs fasssssst by accident. $10 this happens to her but not by accident. Vyvanse is also used to binge eating disorder and it seems like everyone and their left pinky toe are being diagnosed with adhd these days because that the new one to have.

[-] Cheesecake@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

Many people (mostly women) are being diagnosed later in life in recent times for a number of very valid reasons. We now know so much more about ADHD than we did 20 years ago, more GPs have a better understanding of signs and symptoms which evidently will lead to more people getting tested and leading to more positive results.

I’m sure some people want to join the ‘trend’ for some fucked up reason. But some people, such as myself, are crumbling as new mothers because a diagnosis was missed earlier in life. Just wanted to point out that seeking out a diagnosis for whatever reason is absolutely valid and encouraged if you are finding your day to day life is being affected. 🫶

[-] Tightlikespandex@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Of course! Sorry I did not mean disrespect. I too am a crumbling new mother so I apologize if that came off crass. I’ve been dealing with insane anxiety since before became a mother and I just felt like my diagnosis was almost pushed on me as a quick solution after trying everything else as I don’t exhibit many symptoms except anxiety and high energy. It also seemed fishy to me that everyone was getting a diagnosis of it left and right. Including my 70 year old dad and 3/5 of my coworkers. I don’t doubt the science and new information available at all but I do believe she will take advantage and give herself a new diagnosis. But I’m sorry again if i offended! I am a bit salty after a year on Vyvanse ($$$$) to feel the same if not worse now 😅

[-] Cheesecake@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Omg sorry. I just reread. I’m so sorry that Vyvanse is not helping you!! It’s so pricey going and getting your medication changed too and the risk of not reacting well to the meds is not fun either 😫

[-] Tightlikespandex@lemmy.ca 2 points 10 hours ago

I feel like we are the politest people LOL. All is good. I hope we all feel better soon 😅❤️

[-] Cheesecake@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Not at all! Just thought in case anyone was on the fence about it or completely unaware why they seem to always be struggling not to be turned off by considering a diagnosis or even simply just wondering if they could be ND. I also do understand how you feel and there are definitely some people (influencers) doing it for attention and not because they are actually crumbling. I’m sorry you are crumbling too! I wish there was a way to make it all easier. Congrats on getting your medication sorted albeit pricey. I hope it is helping you feel somewhat better 🤞

Didn’t she make the same post about Disney being not all magical before or am I having Deja vu?

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago

Sarah doesn’t worry about contradicting herself. If it’s a story it just goes away and she picks a different lane the next day.

[-] Rarepotato@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

She def did

[-] outdatedavianfruit@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

I have the same sense. Think you are right !

[-] Bonjourmadame@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 days ago

Didn't she have a bunch of runs to complete in June?? What happened to that?

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 14 points 2 days ago

Probably marked walking around Disney as “running”.

[-] Whaaambulence@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 days ago

The only thing running, is her mouth

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

her canker filled mouth

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

I think she has until the end of August to finish them but used June as a flex to someone who said she doesn’t workout

[-] Bitchwhiskers@lemmy.ca 19 points 2 days ago

I hated this post by her so much. The having to save was such garbage. I feel so icky when she tries to interact with the kids. Even J doesn’t play along much anymore. B is always trying to be recognized/seen/heard in the background and mostly ignored. We know M is over it/shy. Good for her. They should all boycott their mother’s narc bullshit! I just find her over posting of her super privileged and tone deaf trip so gross.

Also I’m pissed that the other sharks still exist on Reddit. The Al Mc one was nasty and mean to the max! I’m glad we have this as an outlet but it’s not the same.

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago

I agree about J. She used to love being on Sarah’s videos and even she doesn’t seem to want to anymore. Glad the kids are trying to distance themselves from being Sarah’s content.

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

She’s 16 now and her friends probably don’t think her mom’s cool. That matters to a kid

[-] Rarepotato@lemmy.ca 5 points 15 hours ago

Either that or her dad put his foot down and said cut that shit out

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago

I don’t know if that would work at their age

[-] Rarepotato@lemmy.ca 3 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

That's a good point! I'm not familiar with Canadian family law.

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago

She is pushing her privilege in people’s faces like a cream pie. The fact she mentions bringing her parents along is unnecessary.

[-] Bitchwhiskers@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

Like I get she’s an influencer and it’s her income but lady needs to stfu and be on vacay and maybe post the high points like normal people do!!! We don’t need to know where she’s staying and with whom. I want her to fuck off. And when she’s done fucking off I’d like her to fuck off again. And then she can fuck all the way off and so can her high horse (sorry, horse. Get a new gig!)

[-] ThatOrangeBird@lemmy.ca 30 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Her idiot followers eat this crap up. It's her typical blah blah blah that really means nothing, and it's also designed to make her naysayers look like big meanies! She's just a kind, simple gal, with a gosh darn genuine love for the magic and wonder of Disney (even though her version of magic and wonder easily surpassed $15,000 for just two of them and a couple of the kids). It saves and sustains her troubled soul! They stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, in a room with a savannah view. The cheapest option is $694 USD/night for just 2 adults and goes up from there. $15,000 is very easily a conservative estimate. Her trying to be relatable is nauseating. She words things using "you've" because she doesn't have to save for this. She can drop this money on a whim. This trip is not remotely accessible to the average family, who scrimp and save so they can stay at one of the value resorts, in the off-season, with deals. If you have the money, great, do what you want (although I still think her fortunes were founded on lies and deception). But Jesus Christ, stop pretending you're everyone's best, relatable friend. Most people don't even have parents that will come as babysitters, let alone that will baby the ever-loving hell out of them and cater to their every whim. Her followers generally don't have the dollars to do whatever they want (and the ability to grift so many freebies, even when they could easily pay).

It's fucking gross and I hope influencer culture dies off because it's a cancer on society.

[-] ladybonerforjustice@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago

She very likely didn’t pay for all/most of her trip. She’s a bitch for pretending she’s so relatable.

[-] olivesandpoppies@lemmy.ca 21 points 3 days ago

So wait… one can stay at the animal kingdom for less than pink cottage in Flesherton ? If animal kingdom has clean water… I’m just saying it sounds like a steal 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

Not for her room at Animal Kingdom! It is approximately $950/night CAD

[-] olivesandpoppies@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 days ago

Omfg. But do you have to book a minimum of 3 nights like the pink cottage;)?

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 days ago

That’s true!!

[-] babycarrot@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Yeah that having to save part was outrageous. Coming from her I mean. 💯💯 Us ”normal” people really need to save for years for a trip like that.

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 23 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Her obsession with Disney is weird. Like she forces it too much? Who is this obsessed with a company? Like it’s just a theme park with people dressed in costumes lol.

Honestly Disney does give me a cult feeling and this post of hers doesn’t help. Trust me I know we all have our obsessions but I also don’t go around talking about the things I love this way and make it my whole entire personality lol.

Also LOL “you’ve saved to be here” yea because I’m sure you fretted about the cost of this trip 🙄 if it was difficult you wouldn’t go 10 times in a couple of years.

[-] ladybonerforjustice@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago

She makes me suspicious of Disney adults. It’s just so lame and desperate the way she acts.

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

Right? I feel like she’s trying SO HARD to be noticed by Disney and have them like give her a free trip or be an affiliate or something.

[-] OddQuality@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago

I'm certain she's on Disney's payroll. Like the very bottom of some Z list instagram marketing list, sure, but I bet a lot of these Disney adult influencers are in on the cut somehow. Like I just can't comprehend this otherwise lol

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 days ago

It is cult-like and presents an idealized view of the world - everything always works out in the end and we all live happily ever after. Life doesn’t work like that - bad things happen to good people and sometimes good people lose

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 20 points 3 days ago

I’ve read posts just like this many times and no doubt she has as well. She has just taken words she’s read and made it into her own post. Just like everything else she does. Unoriginal Disney Princess Wannabe at her finest. 🤮 I hope her followers haven’t got their heart set on a Disney vacation after watching this performative clown because they would need about $30-$35,000CAD for a family of this size(including the grandparents)

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 18 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

You’re right, she’s def taken bits and pieces from other posts she’s seen. We all know she’s a plagiarist 🙄

The fact she acts like she’s been saving for months for this trip is shameful tbh. She just dropped 2 million dollars to buy a cottage and renovate it, she’s having her house renovated which is probably a couple 100 thousand dollars, and we’re meant to believe “they saved for this” give me a break. Yet her followers continue to fall for her act, it makes me sick,

[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

Her ‘saving’ for this was impulse buying the tickets because she deserved a break from the house reno Does she forget she told everyone what she did in her stories that day?

[-] crownofgold6@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

Honestly I think she does forget considering the amount of lies she tells. She can’t keep it all straight.

[-] Whaaambulence@lemmy.ca 27 points 3 days ago
  1. nobody is forcing you to get up before 7am. That is your choice. 7am is when LL booking opens and apparently that was alllll her. LL times do not start until parks open at 9am.
  2. Your kids always annoy you. That's why you brought your mother, so you don't have to deal with them. As usual
  3. Maybe there wouldn't be so many "disappointments" if you didn't plan and control ever second of the day and be a spoiled brat when things don't go your way. It's not a "disappointment", it's called "vacationing with your family", which you know nothing of because you're always off on trips by yourself.
[-] MoonChild@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago

You forgot the cankers!

[-] FraudulentFruit1@lemmy.ca 21 points 3 days ago

We all know Birdie can’t handle a tantrum from L so Nana has to be there to deal with it.

[-] babycarrot@lemmy.world 19 points 3 days ago

Yesss all of this is spot on!! Especially 2 and 3, she apparently knows and gets nothing about vacationing with a family, she has unrealistic expectations, she thinks everything should be going by the book or otherwise it’s ruined and annoying and just an inconvience for her and her little puppet show she is wanting to portray for others. How come this mother of four knows this little about being a parent and being with kids. Still fresh in my mind the time she vented about L’s tantrum and how it made her embarrassed, completely let her down and ruined her day. She only wants the positives about having kids.

Hello new Lemmy friends!

Word on the street tells us our community is regularly making it the all page. While this is very cool news to hear, we can see how the sudden emergence of our posts in your feed might feel jarring and probably raises some questions. And also how, without knowing the backstory, our community might appear less than virtuous, so here’s a very brief introduction which hopefully will clear a few things up.

The woman we’re discussing is a body positive influencer and media personality who has gained fame and wealth by lying, manipulating, exploiting her children for content, plagiarizing BIPOC creators and blaming her BIPOC content editor for it (thereby ruining her career), among other things. Her fraudulent behavior is no different (I’d argue worse) from the likes of Jay Shetty (google him if you don’t know who he is or what he did). She’s the latest in a long line of grifting influencers who are abusing their power, taking advantage of their position and exploiting their followers. The difference is that she’s Canadian. Our laws around social media and advertising aren’t as clear (and where they are she’s disobeyed them), add to that, our mainstream media has protected her from those who’ve tried to expose her grift and silenced/intimidated anyone who’s tried to speak out.

Our Reddit sub was taken down due to reports of copyright infringement, which is unfounded and categorically untrue as no one ever tried to steal her work and pass it off as their own. The mods have made an appeal. While at first glance it may seem like we’re just “shitting on her” the sub has been more devoted to investigation and posting proof of her lies than just bitching for the sake of bitching. The reality is that she’s hurt, manipulated and let down a lot of people. She stole intellectual property and employment, caused mental distress and has repeatedly told lies to boost engagement and profit off her audience, so people are understandably upset that their voices are being silenced.

We’re grateful to have been welcomed so kindly by so many of you, and to those sticking around to watch the drama unfold, we’re glad to have you!
