I just wish Google messages wasn't such a shitty app. The amount of bugs I run across while using it is embarrassing. Open RCS to 3rd party apps please.

Let other app(s) provide better service to our users. When we can send you (unencrypted) business messages(spam and promotion mostly with some rare transactional updates) on your RCS enabled phone and use the telemetry data to provide you a better service(more Ads and promotional messages). No way. - GOOGLE, probably.

Google will certainly respect users privacy. Nothing to be concerned about.

Is the argument here that Samsung was respecting privacy?

I thought it was strange that Google Messages was on the home screen when I first booted my Fold6, I guess this is why. I'm trying briefly to use it for RCS, but really just wish I could have RCS on Textra. 😩

i wish they would just add rcs to samsung messages because i hate how google apps don't follow your galaxy font nor do the themed icons from icon packs in the galaxy store work for google messages.

I take it the app will forever be on my Galaxy s24+. A system app that Samsung will never see fit to remove via one of the mo thy patches.
