I've only played 1 4 5 6, which I would rank 6 1 5 4.

1. Tactics
2. VI
3. XIV

I still have Red Chocobo trauma, Kefka still has my favorite boss BGM, and XIV is almost ENTIRELY being carried by Masayoshi Soken and the Primals right now.

1. 6 because it's the first I played. got it for gba one Christmas and played it nonstop for months. cried when Celes threw herself off that cliff.

2. dissidia, what a good game. so underrated, I loved that game so much.

3. uhhhhhh idk I haven't played another final fantasy enough for it to stand out to me as a favorite. if I had to pick it would maybe be 9? I like the character designs and what I played of it was pretty good.

VI, IV, and the original

Runner up is V.

3. X or maybe VII hard to decide

That's a tough one. I'd have to say

1. VII
2. IX
3. And then maybe X. Or VI. Idk it's hard!

VIII or Tactics are runner ups and switch with X and VI sometimes, too. I haven't finished either but loved what I played. I still need to finish XII, especially with all the people here putting it up in their top 3.

9, 7, ~~Lost Odyssey~~, 6.

8 has wonderful music and graphics but the story and characters are pretty much doodoo.

I played the entire XIII trilogy despite thinking XIII was a colossal failure on all fronts. I thought it was so uniquely, fascinatingly bad that I just had to see how they'd try to build on it going forward, and to Square Enix's credit, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns were infinitely better games, not that it necessarily amounted to much. I said 8's characters and story were doodoo but XIII was just abominable Squenix nonsense all the way
