Which would be awesome. I love it when there is a breakthrough big enough to mean rewrites have to happen.
They "rewrite" them every year anyway so might as well get some new science in there
IIRC he wrote his equations assuming that magnetic monopoles are impossible because we’ve never found one. There are a lot of things that would be more symmetric if they existed, though.
Maxwell’s equations have already been rewritten into the Dirac equation. Magnetic monopoles are quantum weird and would not show up in undergrad textbooks regardless
Weren't Magnetic Monopoles discovered a few yars ago already? Im sure i saw some article about it.
Magnetic monopoles, cheap high-capacity batteries, cold fusion, carbon capture, they all find their way into headlines every once and a while.
