stinky tofu one week old
when it's all slimy?

I literally just made this for the first time in a long time. I've been panfrying my tofu a lot, and tonight I literally said, "You know what? Let me use the air fryer tonight."
This is the spookiest Hexbear coincidence of all time.
Absolutely
I had a bf that made me this all the time. I kinda miss him lately.
A very convenient way to cook tofu before adding it back in to a stir fry, curry, sandwich, or anything. I pretty much exclusively cook my tofu in an air fryer
its a top tier way to make tofu
Made it and ate it. My verdict:
spoiler
BUT I cut it into slightly too big chunks and the air fryer made it puff up a bit which made it harder to eat.
Should I use my airfryer says hexbear.net user CrispyFern
heh heh
I'll do blocks or strips, marinated or not with good results.
I've had good results putting a whole block in, still working on how long, but I usually put it in for 30 minutes at 400 and take it out when its got a bit of a skin- I then cut it into strips after which achieves a different effect.
Boiling in salt water before has also helped season.
Excellent choice. I like to bread it and toss the chunks in buffalo sauce after cooking
I've been thinking about trying tofu for awhile. This post reminded me to get off my butt and do it, thank you! I picked up a stainless steel press yesterday. I just tried a simple air fryer recipe with cornstarch, avocado oil, and sriracha. It was pretty good for a first experiment. Could have been better but I chalk that up to my own inexperience. I am definitely going to keep practising with it.
Update, I have now become obsessed with marinades.
