Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

And I bet their city government and officials all stopped posting on Twitter too right. Right?

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I’m confused by how that relates to twitter leaving San Francisco

What does “good riddance” mean?

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You’re being a bagel lol. The city itself is not saying that, individual residents are.

The first two paragraphs specifically mention “city officials” and the quote in the title “good riddance” comes from a city attorney.

San Francisco’s chief economist Ted Egan claimed the company’s departure will have little impact due to how much it has shrunk and that “in many respects, they were already gone”. X did not respond to requests from NYT for comment.

Go. Get the hell out. Even over here in Oakland, we'll be glad you're gone.

Where is he leaving to? Mars? Catching up with the roadster?

From the second paragraph in the article:

"The billionaire announced plans earlier this month that he would take X out of California and move its headquarters to Texas."

If you love firing workers for no reason, gotta move to a place that'll let you do it without consequences!

It was more of a wish than an expectation 😞

I would laugh so hard if Texas would turn blue due to... well, everything GOP related in Texas.

He's only going to texas so he can hop the border and get a sex change. I "Saw it on TV" Musk is secretly a woman 😳😳😳
