The vegan place to discuss things.

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.

Gorillas metabolize plants differently than we do, so this is a little misleading.

Same lmao. N explaining how eating a lot of lentils won't make u fart if ur gut microbiome has adjusted to it (I can confirm that my farting frequency isn't abnormal despite eating A LOT of lentils n beans).

Cool, got it. Beans are legumes, but so are lots of other things.

got it in one :) biological classification heirarchy shit confuses me too. Actually it's really funny in plants because often horticultural and biological classifications differ. Just in case the world made too much sense.

Yeah, you can start some fun arguments by telling people banana are berries but strawberries and raspberries aren't.

You and I have very different notions of fun.

Friendly arguments about the definition of "sandwich" are the best. I've often found it an effective ice breaker!
