My cat makes me go to bed and wake up at specific times and she extracts all my surplus value and turns it into treaties and belly rubs so i think yes

Do you mean authoritarian?

[–] OgdenTO@hexbear.net 17 points 3 months ago

I'm pretty sure that they're not bourgeois, but they are, along with having to eat your vegetables, classic fascism

the wake agenda pushing bi propaganda

If the production was better organised I'm convinced we could better adapt work hours to natural sleep schedules but that would still mean some kind of bedtime is needed at some point

Good sleep is one of the most valuable things any of us can have, I'll still be on the hill if people truly knew the importance of sleep it'd be a insta revolution trigger.

In my state they make you open at like 4am after closing at midnight and its totally legal, when you're in that hell it sure feels like bedtimes belong to the moneyed class alone, and the rest of us sleep when we can.

wake times are burgeois

[–] Dolores@hexbear.net 4 points 3 months ago

the case for bedtimes being an industrial bourgeois form of labor discipline is actually quite solid. it was not necessary to regiment time this way when labor productivity was married to natural lighting.

the cinch is that not literally everything associated with industrialism and bourgeois class rule are total social ills. revolutionaries shouldn't spend our time railing against the bourgeois business tie either

No bed times, no vegetables!
