I swear that Fox News, Ben Shapiro and other chud mouthpieces crying about "the far-left celebrating murder" is doing more for us than we ever could lmao.

I wonder if Chuds will start realising they have more materially in common with the far-left than these right-wing grifters or if I'm just being hopeful.

At the very least if they start turning on these con artists, that would be enough to make me smile.

The BS show - kelly

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 76 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

this is happening because rightwing media tries to split things along a "regular joes vs elites" line that fundamentally cannot explain the reality of "worker vs capitalist"

capitalist media reflexively closes ranks around a fellow capitalist, but their audience has already independently clocked the CEO of the Social Murder Factory as a huge piece of shit and put him in the "elites/bad people" bucket, then runs headlong into this contradiction of their "media for the regular joes" defending an "elite"

[–] hotcouchguy@hexbear.net 33 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It's the same aesthetic bullshit where "elites" is anyone/anything "woke" and real American working class culture is anything anti-woke. So like public schools are elite but Musk is oppressed actually. (DeSantis whole stupid book was based on this) Hopefully this provides some clarity for the people who were duped by that shit.

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 56 points 1 week ago

it is good, its very good in fact

The working class are all stoked about this

The ruling class is pissed

And both can see how the other is reacting, and its clear we're on different teams

This is good

Hope so, really do. I imagine as shit starts to break down more and more due to climate change a lot of poor people are going to be left holding the bag while these rich fuckos give them the finger and blast of to mars with their donation money.

The welfare fash can really rake in numbers now btw.

[–] Spike@hexbear.net 43 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Its especially hilarious because they've spent the last....50ish years? talking about how coastal elites (amongst all the other bullshit they peddle) are the problem and that the Republicans will deal with them even though the Republicans are on the same side as the coastal elites. Now the contradiction is right in their faces, someone killed a coastal elite and they're telling their base that its wrong after decades of saying they need to deal with them. Everyone get armed in preparation to overthrow tyranny, but also don't kill anyone

[–] BeanBoy@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

Media literally trying to spin it as coastal elite killed a heartland favorite son

[–] AntifaSuperWombat@hexbear.net 36 points 1 week ago

Turns out, constantly decrying basic empathy as "woke" can actually backfire on you. Who would’ve thought. shrug-outta-hecks

[–] gay_king_prince_charles@hexbear.net 34 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're in a good place when you can't tell if a comment section is for RevLeftRadio or Fox News

[–] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 22 points 1 week ago

It's not even heartbreaking

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago (1 children)

if someone else takes up the mantle and downs another CEO or 10, then we'll really see fireworks

when even the fox news boomers are saying it on facebook, fedposting no longer has power here

[–] MineDayOff@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

That's the point of the thread/post

Just enjoying the emojis

At somewhere before ten you cross from adventurism to praxis.

First hot comrade that goes on a ghoul killing spree and gets in front of a live stream and calls for revolution could set it off.

There are a number of comments in the Youtube videos about chuds waking up to these grifters. You love to read it folks! :absolute-cinema:

[–] flyingchaucer@lemmy.sdf.org 27 points 1 week ago

The funny thing is that LM seems to be a bit of a techbro libertarian based on some of his Twitter activity. The right wing could claim him if they wanted to, but they've chosen to complain that it's the people who are out of touch.

[–] Homer_Simpson@hexbear.net 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oddly enough Ben Garrison seems to have taken a neutral POV on this.

"One thing we do know for sure: Mangione was right about one thing.

KEEP US DRAWING IN 2024 WITH A DONATION!

Our healthcare system is truly broken and the shooting triggered a wave of complaints about health insurance rather than sympathy for the victim of murder. "

Damn, one of his best accidental bangers yet.

The good thing about Luigi turning out to be a chud is that they can't blame ”the left”.

[–] ubergeek 1 points 1 week ago

They blamed the attempts on Trump on "the left", even though both were registered Republicans.

[–] Hohsia@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

I’m still skeptical

Trump-voting conservatives and righteously indignant liberals still rule amerikkka

[–] LanyrdSkynrd@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

To me this shows that The Daily Wire is not simply grifters grifting for the money. If it was just about scamming their fans for money, they'd see which way the wind was blowing and shut up about this. Instead they're carrying water for the most unsympathetic billionaires at the cost of angering their fans.

The Daily Wire since inception has been first and foremost about representing the interests of capital, even over their own personal financial interests. They know who made the Daily Wire possible, and it wasn't chuds, it was fossil fuel billionaires.

I doubt most of their fans will understand this, though.

How much do we fucking suck to have such uneven terrain in our favor and it takes random circumstances and events to bring people closer to us

save your celebration for after two weeks of the media manufacturing consent about this guy now that they can scrub his posting history

[–] Lemister@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Its by design. There was a concentrated and thorough effort once done by the “minds” that created the modern empire to destroy, dismantle and disrupt communist thought, organizations, education and infrastructure.

Everything in the contemporary is created to reinforce the system, it is more subtle, more advanced and more far reaching than ever before. Most of the left is recovering from the nadir of the fall of the Soviet Union.

[–] Hohsia@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (3 children)

lol let’s be honest if the left were organized we’d all be in separate prisons all across the country

[–] Enjoyer_of_Games@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

the left is unorganized because we are all in separate prisons enforced by social conditions.

[–] Lemister@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

More like found dead in a ditch somewhere.

[–] imogen_underscore@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

this has been happening very intensely since the 60s, along with folks just getting murdered by the state of course

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Shit sucks yea gotta take what you can get

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

They won't realize shit. Some might, but most won't.

Those right-wingers that will embrace the shooting will gain from it- similar to how the Ukraine war proved to be the fatal thing which bit the malleable left in the west in the hides, so will this event cause a loss of support (not as severely) for the cooperate right.
