This is the only good culinary thing to come out of St Louis. They are also known (I'd say infamous) for their pizza which is like a cardboard cracker with "cheese".

It's delish.

The sauce and seasoning of St Louis style pizza is fine but the crust is mostly premade at one bakery, and is terrible.

The provell cheese is a matter of taste.

I had a guess as to the provenance as soon as I learned it was deep-fried. I guessed the country, but not the proper sub-region.
