Staring at the clock waiting for Baldur's Gate to release lol

For a real answer, some Arma III with the boys, some Sea of Thieves with the boys, some Across the Obelisk with the boys...

I only really play co-op anymore it would seem lol.

Still chipping away at Tears of the Kingdom. With a newborn in the house it’s such a great game to pick up for 3 minutes, wander a bit, and put down instantly. Or to play for 2 straight hours while he sleeps on your chest.

Im pretty close to the end but I’m finding myself putting it off as much as possible, leisurely wandering around the map to take on quests or shrines. There is so much to do and see. 120 hours in and it still feels like I’ve barely started it.

Metro Redux was free on Steam so I started that and am not disappointed

[–] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Haven't played the latest but the first two were just amazing. The atmosphere and worldbuilding... I loved wandering in metro stations turned towns, hearing the chatter and activities around me. I think that was most prominent in the second game iirc

Doing a melee only playthrough of Fallout 4 at the moment. First time doing a non shooting playthrough.

[–] LunchEnjoyer@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Dragons Dogma Dark Arise on my new Linux laptop 😊

[–] DrQuint@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Finished Yugioh the sacred cards just now, and got annoyed they never let you use Winged Dragon of Ra.

I've been playing Tin Can lately. Figuring out how to survive each event and deciding what parts to cannibalize is really enjoyable to me. I'm almost up to 25 minutes surviving!

[–] Maestro@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

I finished both Diablo 1 (devilutionx) as well as Diablo 2 (remastered). Both are still great games

Deep Rock Galactic when I want to play for a few minutes then go back to work.

Final Fantasy when I'm done with work.

And Kingdom Hearts 1 on my mobile when I'm bored but too tired to get on my PC.

Slay the Spire when I want some time off with work/course while I watch videos or podcasts.

CrossCode at night when I'm free. This is my new addiction as I keep thinking about it constantly. Honestly really fell in love with this game almost instantly. Even though the game is like 5 years old, this was my surprise of this year! Shout out to the few CrossCode fans here on Lemmy, we exist!

Elden Ring with the seamless coop mod at night with my friends when they're available. I've already got all the endings with multiple characters but I keep playing because it's extremely fun with homies, and also because I just want another excuse to keep playing it lmao

[–] siliril@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I had really enjoyed the ea of BG3 so I'm pumped to play the full game! After two hours I'm pleased to say I made my character. Lol.

[–] Darksouls1234@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

For the second time I started to cross the soma, but I had to go somewhere so when I come back I will finish it.

[–] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

I've been on my first RDR2 playthrough. Unfortunately once I get to the bank job in StDenis I'm treated to a BSOD every time, as soon as I start the mission. So I alternate with a little Psychonauts, which I also never played before. Real good stuff, old school platforming, just what I love. I grew up on Megadrive then Xbox and I kinda miss the plethora of platformers that released in the day. If anyone has a good (recent) platformer recommendation...

Just got back into Europa Universalis IV yesterday and have been re-addicted to it ever since.

I had been hooked on Crusader Kings III for a very long time, but I realized at some point that I was ignoring all of the roleplay elements and just map-painting, so I decided to play a game that specializes in map-painting.

[–] GrimSheeper@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm also having an incredible time playing Battlebit Remastered. I've always been intimidated by competitive shooters, but the massive battle sizes and the light-hearted community really bring the game together.

After beating Final Fantasy XVI I resubscribed to FFXIV and played the latest patch's story updates. It's interesting to go back to XIV after playing what feels in many ways like it's successor. XVI has problems, but they're the a subset problems that XIV has, and it shores up so much. My main thing is the almost complete lack of engaging combat scenarios in XIV's MSQ. There's so much fun in the endgame that it's hard to complain too much, but I hope they fix that in Dawntrail.

Oxygen not included, it's a fantastically detailed colony sim if you like physics and colony sims, you are in for a treat, it's like if rimworld, minecrafts redstone system and the powder toy had a baby in the best way possible

Still deep in on Street Fighter 6, hit Diamond with Manon, and now heading to diamond with Marisa, and really tempted to push for Master rank with her. Still having a huge amount of fun with it, and excited to watch Evo this weekend.

Finishing up Remnant 2, several play throughs complete, and have had a lot of fun in single player and co-op. Definitely will be back for more.

Will be playing Baldurs Gate 3 this evening, really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this game, and hopefully enjoy it as much as I did the short period I had in Early Access.

Dysmantle, great little indie game I played on PC back in EA but now enjoying the final product on PS5 as it was included in PS Extra

You smash the environment and zombies to level up and find parts to build new weapons and tools. The game is a bit wonky but the satisfaction of getting that new weapon to be able to break down larger objects is addicting. Will set you back 20+ hours at least.

Oh, boy. I have quite a list for this week.

Gothic 3 - Gothic is my favorite series and last year I started playing the games again. Now I'm at the third, and it has definitely improved a lot since I last played it (13 years ago). It's a shame that it's unfinished, but definitely playable and a good gaming experience.

Baldur's Gate 3 - I never played any D&D game, not Planescape Torment, no Icewind Dale, no Neverwinter Nights, no Divinity or any other game that is close to this one. But I bought it, not knowing if I would like it, because of the salty tweets from developers working for big publishers. I only played for 3 hours and as someone who is unfamiliar with most things related to this game, I think it's nice. I feel that I can't fully appreciate it to its real value right now, but I'm sure that given the time I will.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - I got deranked to Silver 2 again and I think I'm going to take a break from competitive, at least. I find it really hard to keep up, it just feels that everyone's aim is better than mine and I don't have the time and resources right now to learn this game. I still enjoy Arms Race, though.

Deep Rock Galactic - I'm playing for more than 200 hours now. I only play as Engineer and I'm close to getting that Gold promotion. Gets a bit boring when I'm playing too much, but otherwise it's great for co-op play, and fun.

I just recently got the pokemon fan game Pokemon Empire working on my phone through JoiPlay and I'm loving how it actually works since now I can play it on the go and will probably end up surpassing my save on my desktop.

The music is great, I love the story, there are some really cool fakemon I love, and the mechanics changes are amazing.

I may have learned how to play pokemon better by playing Reborn and Rejuvenation, but Empire has taught me the importance of stat changes and set-up moves more than either of the other 2 listed could.

[–] RedForFred@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for talking about that game, I’ve never been sold on a Pokémon fan game before but this one sounds really interesting

[–] Drinvictus@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 year ago

The bum simulator 🤡

[–] Gerryflap@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm quite deep into a second Satisfactory playthrough. My first one was quite some updates ago, so I'm really enjoying all the new stuff like ziplines, drones, hoverpacks and many more things. This time I'm playing with friends, and the multiplayer experience is definitely still very early-access.

Crashes are quite frequent, and we're having plenty of other glitches like stuff not building (instead the hologram just remains), and other desync issues. We also had to ban blueprint saving since every interaction with saving or organizing them seems to have a high crash probability. Luckily we made a couple of nice ones before the ban that we do seem to be able to use safely.

Nevertheless it's great fun though. We're getting to the endgame and are now doing things that I never got to in my first playthrough (and have also changed afaik) like nuclear power. Being with more people also allows the factory to grow way larger, so its insane to see how large and complicated everything has grown. It's a beautiful mess of many conveyor belts, tractors, trucks, trains, hypertubes, hypertubes launchers, etc.

Factorio when I have time on my hands, evil within when I want a story, battlebit when my friends are online, and loop hero when I'm working

[–] ThickQuiveringTip@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Slowly playing through Diablo 4. I like it, but some of the writing is a bit lame like in Diablo 3. But I much prefer the item drops, art direction and setting of D4. The side quests are too many and too repetitive. The dungeons are also a bit repetitive, but I only do the dungeons that I want. Overall I am having a good time, but I am not rushing home to play it.

Just got Back into valorant. The Grind hurts. +Started elden ring when im in for sth non competitive

[–] Thadrax@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I tried to play Baldurs Gate 3 but for some reason, it runs really poorly on my system so I refunded it. On the plus side, a friend of mine has caught up in Diablo 4 so we played some multiplayer which was great fun.

And I played some Timberborn, which seems fun at least for a while. Probably not a long term game for me though.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

BG3. Within two minutes of the cut scene to start the game, my Bard touched something and immediately died. It's just like I remember!

Managing to squeeze at least one excursion on Hoxxes IV every morning before my gf wakes up.

Leave No Dwarf Behind!

[–] Nelots@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Rock and stone brother!

[–] Puddle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I just started spore. It's hilarious! I had never played but heard great things.

Also playing black desert. It's my first mmo style game. It's buggy but has a lot of fun content for a really affordable game.

Always fall back to elden ring and dark souls 3.

[–] sp3ctre@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Ready or Not (alpha). Great so far!

[–] n1njaznutz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Exoprimal on Xbox Series X. Sublime imo.

[–] punter@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

BG3 The player is given so much freedom. This is what gaming used to feel like.

D4 when friends are playing. It is getting monotonous though. I was going to explain more but everyone here already understands.

[–] Crazazy@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago

I decided to load up tropix again. The game is so much more simplistic than I remember it being when I was like 9

[–] VioletteRei@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Switching between FFXIV, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Spider-Man Miles Morales
