Severance. The intrigue is unmatched.

[–] keepee@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm desperate to watch it, but I'm going to wait till all the episodes are out. I would not be able to deal with the slow drip.

[–] gila@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's a good approach, I just don't have the patience for it & won't have time to binge anytime soon. Have you watched S1 recently? I'd highly recommend it; the 3-year gap + immediate continuity had me forgetting some important stuff.

[–] keepee@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Good call. My plan is to start watching S1 again a few weeks before season 2 is done.

Discovered Schitt's Creek and it's a lot of fun. I always dismissed it for sounding too much like Arrested Development but I was so wrong.

AD (pre-Netflix) is one of my all time favorites. Such a perfect show. Schitt’s Creek is right up there as well.

You're in for such a treat. It just gets better and better.

Mr In-Between. Funny as hell, really well made.

[–] Blaze@feddit.org 4 points 2 weeks ago

I started watching Shrinking, very good so far

Silo: Nearly done liking the wider vision JOJO's bizarre adventure: First episode was terrible, second had me interested Yellowstone: Finished it including spinoffs, looking forward to the future projects without Costner.

First two episodes of Harley Quinn season 5. Feels like I've been waiting forever for it to come back, then I missed its premiere.

Might actually save up episodes to binge later at this point, if I can stop myself when a new episode comes out. The one thing that made the fact that it's only 20 minutes a week more bearable was a community that spent all week talking about it in between. And this place is like 80% politics, 19.9% memes and 0.1% everything else, including discussion of TV shows (and I'm starting to miss it tbh).

I haven’t been watching much. I think I got 3 episodes of TMNT ‘87 season four in. One of the eps was all about Shredder's mom.

I need to watch the new stuff from Severence, Silo, and Shrinking.

Finished Outer Range, it was good but I don't think I would have liked season 3.

Finished Dark Matter, the Canadian SyFy show, it was bad. I recommend Killjoys instead.

Started Dark, the netflix show, liking it so far

You are in for some weird shit with Dark. Also really good OST.

[–] yessikg@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago

Finished Dark, top tier series

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That’s a rough season. RIP

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 2 points 2 weeks ago

Les Misérables as an eight episode series. Pretty good and great actors. It starts in 1815 post Napoleonic France and follows several characters in their struggles to survive and do the right thing in a cutthroat society in crisis.

You can watch it for free from France, Germany, possibly other European countries on arte.tv

Succession season 1. The writing is pretty good, the characters are unhinged.

[–] faintwhenfree@lemmus.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

Saw the last episode of The Agency, it was great. Also Silo, because I was a bit late to watch the last episode.

[–] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 2 weeks ago

The Bureau / Le Bureau des Légendes. It's not a super recent TV show. It's being remade into "The Agency", but holy crap is the original good. Really believable spies TV show. Intense thriller with sparse moments of more action. I'm not French, so this flew under my radar for quite a while, and now I'm completely hooked watching about a season per week.

Whiskey on the Rocks. Hilarious Swedish historical satire. It's probably better for those who understand Swedish, but I'd still recommend it. Castlveania Nocturne S2.
