My money is on the US forcing the EU and the UK to open TREATy ports, so american companies can sell the garbage they produce, after RFK Jr. bans them from the US.

It will start by the US blowing up their critical energy infrastructure and destabilizing the region by provoking war with their neighbors, forcing Europe to simultaneously become more dependent on the US economically and militarily, coinciding with a nativist / isolationist and openly expansionistic shift in the dominant US ideology.

I think it's common knowledge that it got triggered by deindustrialization through offshoring in the 70s-onwards, and it really started to be patently visible after the 2008 euro crisis and the austerity suicide
