Rode into work today whilst the weather's nice. I tried the shorter route that's a little less bike friendly and it was actually a much better ride aside from one annoying road crossing

Spent the morning dealing with an ant invasion in my kitchen, which was not fun. Finally made it to co-working to start my work day. Feeling really overwhelmed right now.

anyone else just got zero interest in fantastic 4? I dont get the appeal, maybe you need to be into comics to understand it? Certainly feel the fatigue of so many cracks at trying to get it off the ground.

I can't watch marvel movies anymore, so much cg I just don't engage with it. I'd prefer cartoons, eg DC animated.

Yeah this is me too, most of this style of movie I pretty much avoid now. The obvious CG just ruins it.

That's one of the things I respected about the latest Alien movie, even though there was still CGI they made a big push to use practical effects and physical sets as much as possible, including getting many of the effects crew back from the 1986 original movie, and it really shows.

Maybe the fanart of Sue Storm from Marvel Rivals will get you interested in them more

Looking at the post on cycling that was shared recently, we always get bad faith outsiders with the most bullshit takes jumping into the comments section. But if you told them to shut up and fuck off, you'd be the bad guy

Ulcers in the crease of your mouth - the worst. Almost as bad as ulcers on your inner lip that rub up against your teeth. Time to whip out the ol' Kenalog again I guess... If they ever come up with a medication to heal mouth ulcers in 24 hours I'd do anything to get it in a heartbeat.

Haha! He's gone on a packing spree and now I don't have the right paper to do his anniversary card tomorrow.

Fretting.

Edited for length and oversharing

Cat healthIt's taken me ages to find food and treats that Melbcat isn't allergic to and that she will eat... but I'm aware they're not good for her in other ways. She started blood pressure meds last night and will go on phosphate binders next week when they come in but I still worry. I'll see if I can find better alternatives but I'm a bit limited with conflicting health conditions.

Nightmare neighbours, tree law

I may also be creating fresh hell for myself ie. bringing a long term nightmare neighbour down on my head again by reporting some incorrectly planted invasive trees.

However it probably needs to be reported. The base of one tree is literally an inch from my foundation/external wall and is now sending up suckers inside my property line. The other is a plane tree planted a foot away and could possibly crack the wall or the foundation as it grows. If there’s a risk that the trees might actually damage the structure of the place I’m living in I obviously don’t want that to happen. And since the owner of the trees may be liable for any property damage caused I want it on record that I am not the owner and am not responsible.

It’s a fucked position to be in. But at least if there are any issues with property damage down the track there can be a paper trail that makes it harder to blame me and demand I pay.

Also just FYI I was unable to edit this on mobile. Had to jump on the computer to do it. Anyone else having this issue?

I've had to use my browser to post images as Jerboa wouldn't let me for some reason.

I’m now able to edit again so I don’t know what that was

I didn’t finish hauling down the pantry donations a month ago because I was too exhausted… wheeled the last lot down. I might not have energy and money to do that again for a bit.

Sketchy randoms cut through my block right after I left it and there were already a couple alcohol cans littered on the path before that… eugh.

Moobeans is on the bed curled up in a croissant, I hope she starts feeling better quickly.

It was so funny when the vets arrived. She actually came over to them in curiosity and rubbed her cheek on their box of medical equipment. Social girl. She wasn’t as pleased when having her blood pressure taken, I had to steadily feed her distraction treats to get her to tolerate it.

Edit: Oh great. The same weird gentleman who stole the water dish also came onto my veranda and tried to tip out the water in the pet water dispenser… which immediately refilled when he put it back down. Nong.
