Ok, time for me to ask, because not knowing isn't getting any less embarrassing:

  1. Which movie/show is this freeze frame from? Seems familiar. Sure, I've seen a million variations of the meme, but I think I've actually seen the original at some point.
  2. Where's the head from originally? And yes, I am aware of the stonks-meme. Before that.

  1. The Babadook (2014)

The Babadook is a great movie that more people should see

Also a part of another meme where the Babadook is a gay icon ever since Netflix miscategorized the movie.

I thought it was a bad movie that doesn't deserve the praise

Did you just watch it or did you engage your brain? At surface level it's not even that bad, but as a movie about trying to deal with mental illness it excels.

I went in with the recommendation that it was a solid horror movie and without looking at it through an overly analytical perspective I found it a bit flat and un-exciting compared to what I was hoping for.

I think it was an expectations issue along with the fact that I'm really not a fan of that type of paranormal(esque) horror where the seemingly omnipotent evil entity doesn't have any rules to play by.

It has been a long ass time though and I often have bad takes so maybe I should watch it again and think about your points

Probably because it keeps going stonks.

We chose him, he is going to stay.

The internet hivemind makes odd decisions, but we all agree with it as we are one.
