So we all know about megathread and fmhy right? among the best if you want to look for pirating something.

But as i pirated one evening i started thinking...how are the sites even checked? is there a rating system? community score? a group of people that test it out on a vm to see if the site will give them a virus?

For example SteamRIP. How did the first people to use the site know that it's safe? how do we STILL know that it's safe? are there regular check-ups by elite program experts? With so many sites how is it made sure that they haven't gone down the dark path like uTorrent?
