Hi there, hope everyone is have a good weekend!

Got a general question regarding these types of coffee bags, that I keep getting with my coffee beans whenever I buy some from my local roaster. But honestly not sure what they're for...? Currently just using them as my lunch bags for work haha.

Let me know if they have a more specific use case!

You're supposed to reuse them for coffee beans.

If you're buying your coffee by mail, they make little sense. But if you buy from a local roaster, take the bag back and they'll refill it rather than giving you a new bag.

They're cloth shopping bags, for coffee beans. Again, I can't see a point if you're shopping online.

Were the beans not in the bags?

Nopes, they come in sealed plastic ones as they "normally would" Im the shops.

Free dice bags!

But ideally, you will want to take your fresh roasted beans home ASAP, and transfer them to an airtight bag, like an old vented coffee bag, to reduce exposure to air.

Would they work for making cold brew?

Great question, only one way to find out 😁

These kinda look like the ones you could use with mason jars for cold brew. Is the fabric water-permeable?
