People always talk about Seymour waiting… But Luck of the Fryrish is a different kind of pain.

You spend the whole episode thinking Fry’s brother stole his name, his dreams, and even his four-leaf clover. You hate him for it.

But in the end…

“Here lies Philip J. Fry. Named for his uncle. To carry on his spirit.”

He didn’t steal anything. He was honoring him.

Fry wasn’t forgotten. He became a legacy.

That twist doesn’t just hurt—it heals. And somehow… that makes it worse.

This wasn’t just a sad episode. This was misunderstood love revealed too late.

I love fuuturama, and might even agree with op's point. But this is very far from a meme.

For me it did. Significantly.

Respectfully? Yespe. Fry finding out he wasn’t forgotten—just honored? That was a gut reset.

Both were really intense for me, but Jurassic Bark can't be topped (personally)

Totally fair. Jurassic Bark hits in that primal, unconditional way—Seymour just waited. That kind of loyalty hurts different. But Luck of the Fryrish flips the knife when it reveals misunderstood love. Two types of pain. Both unforgettable.

Another hard hitter was "Game of Tones". It's in the seventh season, so a bit later on. But the mom/son relationship hits hard.

No episode hit harder than Jurassic Bark. Possibly no episode of any show ever. Except maybe the MASH finale. Maybe.

I never had a pet so Jurassic Bark was just okay to me. However, I do have an older brother so this is one of the first cartoon episodes of anything that felt transformative for me. It's like someone woke me up in the middle of a show. I couldn't believe what I'd just watched. I love this episode and it has a special place in my heart.

(Edit: I find the downvote just funny, I didn't like Jurassic Bark that much I'm sorry :P)

But yeah this one makes me sob uncontrollably
