Isolating is not self destructive for everyone!

Sometimes I just need a lot of time for my stupid brain to sort itself out and having others around can be pretty distracting and drag the process out further. Especially if they are pushing positive stuff that is well intended but has the opposite effect on me.

Toxic positivity is real, and really helps no one.

I also find I need a year or so to process things, because when I'm swimming in the chaos at the time, I can barely make sense of it under duress

Thank you for validating what I've been screaming into the void for the last few years.

I'm an extremely optimistic person, but, no Carla, I'm not "so beautiful that [I] could be a model". I'm aware of my limitations of that area, and telling me that is real nice and polite on your end, but let's be realistic here. Lol

Now apply that to my other traits. I'm not being "mean to myself" by addressing my shortcomings and flaws. I'm aware that I have many talents and other things I'm proud of, so don't fucking lie to my face.

Sometimes you just want to sit down and look into the void.

What if things are difficult because other people are around?

It works for me.

What sort of behavior can you expect when your parents send you to your room whenever you're crying

Join an outdoor gym. Work on hiking and map reading. Play hide and seek. Incorporate other hobbies.
