here's a basic guide to piracy.

Step 1: be old enough to remember usenet/IRC

Step 2: if not old enough to remember those things, download limewire and download a bunch of stuff

Step 3: after tiring of infecting your PC with countless viruses, move over to torrenting

Step 4: after your 3rd cease and desist letter from HBO and Disney, start researching VPNs

Step 5: VPN and public trackers until your data hoarding addiction has led you to run out of things to pirate

Step 6: Start researching usenet

I believe piracy should always have a level of complexity so its not the lowest apple on the three. Just those that want to learn will get the chance to pirate.

Reminds me of some technical hikes ive done. Often the hardest part was at very beginning. It was to make sure that only skilled enough people could enter.
