It is so stupid to have to use an App for the Most simple things on anything. I miss the old days of Habicht physical switches for almost everything.

I don't mind having an app that adds functionality but the device has to be functional without the app. Which is just almost never the case these days. They want you to use the app so they can collect your data and serve you ads.
I agree. What also bugs me is the constant need of an internet connection for things that don’t need it. I installed valetudo on our robot vacuum for this exact reason. Things are not going to get better though i assume…
Seems like a simple hack to get rid of those unnecessary "smart". I wonder what else is "smart" in this bike and why it's even needed.
Nice bike though.
