My take is that they have not gone far enough until they depict the Rebels performing acts that everyone would criticise the soviets for carrying out but would wholeheartedly support the Rebels doing the very same thing against the empire.

Here's a list of tons of leftist movies.
Saw's partisans are mention of doing big terror attacks in the books and other media but i think if they show it to libs, they will just try to seperate them from the whole rebel alliance as some unrelated extremists
Saw isnt really ideologically aligned to the left, just very heavily coded. There isnt an equivalent for communism in star wars, unlike the various flavours of fascism.
Saw's partisans are mention of doing big terror attacks in the books and other media
And they coat it in a "that is kinda bad sweaty " kind of way (looking at you Star Wars Rebels). Saw was 100% right
Yeah, Saw is almost always portrayed as the wrong way to run a rebellion, and they like to have him kick a metaphorical puppy just to drive that point home.
But Saw doesn't have Jedi. He can't manipulate the threads of fate ⸻ he has to make difficult moral choices that people like Ezra don't.
kick a metaphorical puppy
Like the cutesy Geonosian holding onto a baby that he threatens to kill lmao. Look at this fucking Glup Shitto
Such a cutie!
Have the Rebels capture an Empire allied Royal Family and then tell them they're gonna do a hologram capture of them...
Andor shouldn't have stopped at Berlin
They literally had an almost one to one expy of the wannsee conference where they planned to genocide ghorman.
This was my thought too. Very well done.
The Ghorman Massacre was first mentioned in children's television show Star Wars Rebels. Homie's had like 15 years to prepare himself for how bad it could be, fully knowing that it's the planet destroying supervillains behind it and it results in open rebellion across the galaxy
The Rebels connections in Andor are wild lol. Like the arc pulse generator that Sabine made being the weapon that created the genocide mix tape that they torture Bix with.
They destroyed planets. This is funny coming from me yes but.......they destroyed planets....
Seeing titles like this just makes me want to watch the second season even more.
First three episodes are about an hour each with about 15 minutes of actual plot. So far, not even much interesting to look at.
Wonder if things will pick up in the next three episodes?
