Wild. I'm looking for a new truck and Nebraska or the Dakotas have the kind of trucks I'm looking for in good shape, miles, price, etc.

I would never wire the money. Not ever. If I do get a truck like this I'll travel there, check the truck and pay in person. It's so unbelievable to me to wire $25k to someone I don't know. So far out of the realm of comprehension that it's just baffling.

My wife's old boss fell victim to the "apple gift cards for a truck" scam, even after she straight up told him it was a scam and showed him articles about that exact same scam.

Fucking moron sent $5k in apple gift card codes to a random person.

I would almost hate to be the guy who told the Lexus couple to put the money in an escrow first. It definitely sucks for all the people the fell for it but when it's all 40-100k+ vehicles and no one even bothers to put someone they trust, or any third party at all in the drivers seat for a test drive...
