A reference to the [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_God,_Help_Me_to_Survive_This_Deadly_Love](1990 painting) which was based on the 1979 actual photograph (also found in the link).

And now we have the updated version of the image by yousickkkkk on Instagram.

Not equivalent, it's more for drawing than image editing.

Also, it doesn't even have the green pepper brush.

It works pretty well for image editing as well, at least the type I do. I’ve started using it mainly for that instead of GIMP (mainly because GIMP’s Mac version doesn’t work nearly as well as on Linux and I want to use both)

The lack of green pepper brush is a big downside though.

Yeah but krita has a circle tool

[–] Irelephant@lemm.ee 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Who needs a circle tool when you can just google " circle no background transparent"

use gimp for over a decade to edit all manner of things, solve all manner of problems quickly and efficiently, but in public, at any given moment...

yeah, gimp sucks

It's simply that there are tools that work better, and it hasn't had an update in about 12 years.

[–] Alk@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 days ago

It literally just had its biggest update ever last month.

[–] Reddfugee42@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah but other than that

Apparently you can rice it to make it behave closer to Photoshop (shortcuts and whatnot).

it doesn’t: you just have skill issues

Why not both?

[–] lauha@lemmy.one 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is this the year of linux desktop?

[–] MacNCheezus 3 points 3 weeks ago

It will be as soon as ESO 6 is released.

I just installed Affinity Photo and Designer in Arch and they run wonderfully. Much more useable tham GIMP

[–] 0ops@lemm.ee 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

How? Are you running them through wine?

[–] Laser@feddit.org 8 points 3 weeks ago

Honestly at this point that'd be a detriment

Major announcement

"I, Vladimir Putin, after long years of considerations, have decided to graduate, due to disagreement with the Duma and failing to conquer Ukraine."
