So my read on this is that China is scared of us space militarization, and is deploying something before Trump shoots his load at China, after Iran.

We're probably getting the fucked timeline where space is heavily militarized. I fear the US is going to very shortly move to placing nuclear in space aimed at China and at that point the race is on to place defensive and offensive assets in space with each Chinese (and Russian) response to the US aggression being met by more escalating aggression. US will almost certainly place interceptor systems in space along with offensive weapons systems. They're going to be sending NSA agents up into space every month trying to latch onto and plant hacking hardware/explosives on Chinese and Russian space assets and all sides are going to start booby-trapping their systems as a result. Fuck.

(In case you're wondering they more or less admitted to trying to gain access to and sabotage Chinese equipment when it was reported in the press that they tried approaching a Chinese satellite once and it moved away "at speed with complex maneuvers". The cover story of course being they were just peering at it with their own satellites but the certain truth behind the space force being it was a human or robotic sabotage crew trying to get access to it to allow the US to render it useless or destroyed in the event of war)

Suction cup toilet plungers with firework rocket boosters attached. Fire them at the incoming enemy object then engage thrust.

You're welcome China I have solved your problem.

This is treated as a "big scary militarisation of space" thing, but it's also much more likely that the real issue is space junk, you don't want your extremely expensive satellite getting hit by an old piece of a randoms satellite and getting destroyed.

I wouldn't be very surprised if USA tried to attack Tiangong as their own space program is visibly lagging more and more behind.
