Since this implies you live in the US, what region are you in and what is your class standing?

Answers are useless without this context.

Hint hint, the answer does not lie anywhere near the US federal government. That's where socialism goes to die.

If you want to have dreams and fantasies about a better world, I'm not sure why you would expect to find it on Reddit.

Start looking for W's at the local and state levels. Easier to win, and peppering lower level seats with committed socialists could do a lot to undermine the federal government and actually get some shit done.

From what I heard they're aggressively stamping out corruption and most of the high level leadership keep getting caught in it.

Stamping out corruption good, but repeatedly prosecuting or purging high level leadership could lead to stability issues. Is the cost worth it? Idk I don't know enough.

It's sort of the crux of the issue, dollar stores have been expanding to fill that gap in these remote and small communities, and those communities don't want that for themselves.

Ms USA resigned recently, something that's never happened before. Her resignation letter contained a coded message reading I AM SILENCED HIP.

HIP are the initials of the director of the pageant.

A few months ago, control of the Ms USA Instagram account was taken from her, also atypical.

Something is up, is she anti-zionist?

On brand, but I guess SpaceX has no path to profitability (go figure), so Starlink has to launch thousands of microsatellites every year cause their orbit is so low that they burn up like right away

I didn't really have high expectations for them of course but they are way below the bar of what even Tesla brings to the table.

CDMXicans, please chime in

But yeah it's wild the way the city is on a whole lakebed that was drained cause the flooding was too inconvenient to the Spanish colonials, and the last bit of it that was still remaining was about to become a whole ass airport. I guess AMLO won just in time to cancel it (partially complete) and turn it into an Ecological Park. A huge W for a place that needs a sustainable source of water. It's pretty damn convenient that they already are in a lakebed if they can manage it correctly.

Anyway wealthy business interests apparently were big mad about it.

I'm not super well read on it, but to summarize:

  • We KNOW that the French definitely don't have the interest of the Nigerian people at heart. (ask more if this isn't clear).
  • We also know that the French government is neoliberal capitalist, and opposes the aims of the global socialist movement.
  • It remains to be seen how "good" or how "socialist" the future government turns out to be, but their initial actions of being hostile to French colonialism have been good for socialism so far.
  • the most demonstrable action has been to cut off exports of uranium to France, putting the government of Niger in the driver's seat to control that. Now we wait (months, years?) to see if they use that to benefit their people.

The Chinese government stacks the cards though it actually has the capability to use some toothpicks to hold them in place, and will immediately rebuild it things start to fall apart.

To contrast, the US will flounder and pull their one "low interest rates" lever while having a political blowout over some sort of stimulus funding package that probably won't pass.
