Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Since Libya and onto Syria, Democracy Now! turns into State Department mouth pieces for regime change in Middle East Countries that are targets of US-Israel. Now its onto Iran for Amy Goodman and company to manufacture consent for regime change.

I know most people aren't going to watch the video because nobody ever watches the video before commenting.

He went on her show yesterday and he's mad that Amy Goodman said that Evin Prison is "notorious" and claims she called Iran a "regime". In the video she only uses the word regime when quoting Trump. Then he says that she would never call an American prison "notorious", she has. Then he says that he doesn't watch Democracy Now. He forgets Amy Goodman's name during the interview as well.

He went on her show. She let him say exactly the same message as this video, that western media is slandering Iran to manufacture consent. Then he goes to this other channel and acts like his messaged was censored. Why did he go on her show then? How is his message censored when he was allowed to speak his whole message with no interruption?

Say what you will about Amy Goodman, but this seems like a very weak criticism of Democracy Now.

Oh wow whatever happened to "never get their name right"? Hypocrite! If Marandi was a hyper-online maniac like me he would have a lot more ammunition to throw at them. But no he's actually been relentlessly trying to counter the US narrative even if it means BEING BOMBED IN THE PROCESS going on shows with creeps like Goodman and what's his name that British freak Pierce Noncenoggin so if. he wants to complain about our offerings based on vibes alone it's fine with me. Maybe instead of being fussy about it you could try to levy better criticism instead of playing grammar police on a boomer Iranian English professor.

It's just a strange response to someone. Should the Iranian professor make a Content Cop: Democracy Now video for us, or can we use our heads about people we already know have repeatedly advanced State Dept. propaganda?

Not true. She called it a "regime" in her own words multiple times. There is a transcript:

AMY GOODMAN: Following the U.S. bombardment, Israel’s carried out new waves of strikes against dozens of targets across Iran, many considered symbols of the Iranian regime. This includes bombing the gates of the notorious Evin Prison, where political prisoners, regime opponents, and foreign nationals are held.

20-odd years ago I thought Amy Goodman was the pinnacle of leftism. cringe

Amazing what actually reading Lenin will do to open a person's eyes to the world.

I swear I remember reading a good article by them at some point in the past. Was that an aberration, or have they been taken over since then?

The whole alt media is like this and Marandi is right

They're still mostly good, I watch them pretty much every day. However, over the years they've lost a lot of their top journalists like Jeremy Scahill and Sharif Abdel Kouddous.

I get the feeling that it's more than anything "The Amy Goodman Show". When an organisation consistently loses their top talent I feel that tends to reflect poorly on the organisation itself.

Also, IMO Amy very clearly has Russia derangement syndrome, and China is evil totalitarian bad country.

It's endemic to the west unfortunately. I'm always surprised when I see someone creating content who isn't rabidly anti-Russia and China.
