Hang on let me bring in a stick expert...

Jayfeather from Warrior Cats

(Someone please get the reference so I don't look like a total idiot)

I'd give it a 7. Would be higher if it was longer.

[-] Lophostemon@aussie.zone 6 points 7 months ago

The little pokey bits make me uncomfortable.

[-] bhamlin@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

7 out of 10. 9 with rice.

[-] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 7 months ago

Its very straight. And knotty. I imagine its very strong! Very good. I give it a 9/10. I wonder what a perfect stick looks like, maybe this is it, but I'm not confident enough to give it a 10.

[-] FireTower@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Looks like it's got some heft to it. That'll definitely do the job. 8/10

[-] Kase@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

An excellent stick, my friend

[-] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 5 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

It's hard to judge a stick without feeling it's heft but from looks alone I give it a 6 maybe. Above average for shape and length but the bark quality (aesthetically) and the lumps really take from its value.

At another glance I can tell this stick was recently living and probably quite solid as such. I'll raise it to 7/10

[-] jiberish@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

8/10. I would definitely find a use for this stick on an adventure.

[-] JizzmasterD@lemmy.ca 5 points 7 months ago
[-] KeefChief13@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

Id say 8/10

[-] BustinJiber@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

Its very long and massive therefore too big for whooping ass as it would put too much strain on wrist. Troy's Nana would whoop you for even showing her such a switch.

[-] JohnDClay@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

I'd give it a 7. Pretty straight, but no good handles to use it as a gun or cross guard to use it as a sword. It'd work as a lightsaber though. But the thickness and heft is nice.

[-] sag@lemm.ee 4 points 7 months ago

Straight. Slick. Can become a sword. 10/10

[-] Water1053@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

0/10 got switched with..

[-] douglasg14b@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

It appears a bit brittle, more girth at the bottom may be necessary if used for weight bearing activities 🤔

[-] HallowellNash@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

8 of 10 but I could be persuaded to go up to 9

[-] Socsa@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

Visually it is exceptional, but I fear it is too dry and thin to make an effective walking stick or tool handle. Maybe for smaller hand tools like a screwdriver.

[-] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 4 points 7 months ago

Slight bendy, like my penis.

I like it.

[-] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 7 months ago

You gotta tie a wiffle ball on top to make a badass wizard staff. Then it will be 10/10.

[-] 0x4E4F@infosec.pub 4 points 7 months ago

Lightsaber material there 👍👍👍.

[-] Squibbles@lemmy.ca 4 points 7 months ago

It's a goodun but I'd nip off those sharp bits up at the top for ease of handling

[-] Teon@kbin.social 3 points 7 months ago

This is not the stick I want to see. Post the other stick!!

[-] ShittyBeatlesFCPres@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

At least an 8. It could be longer but a solid stick.

[-] YtA4QCam2A9j7EfTgHrH@infosec.pub 3 points 7 months ago

9/10

Can we see the pup who carries that stick while walking awkwardly because it is too long?

[-] RooRLoord420@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

That's a solid 8/8, bud.

[-] Lifecoach5000@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

4 - I’ve seen better and there’s not even a banana for context.

[-] construct_@lemmy.ca 3 points 7 months ago
[-] Oisteink@feddit.nl 3 points 7 months ago

Without any reference it might as well be a twig. What’s the upper, middle and lower circumference or diameter in mm?

[-] Curly722@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

I see a light saber

[-] bdkmshr@monyet.cc 3 points 7 months ago

10/10, would stick

[-] Tyfud@lemmy.one 3 points 7 months ago

Need to trim the knobs off, but otherwise, terrific stick for sword fighting
