hold on... grad and hexbear ASSURED ME that russia was a bastion of free expression, much more than ANYONE in the decadent west could ever understand!

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 46 points 2 months ago (5 children)

Russia is a free country. Unfortunately it's not a country with very safe windows. This has led to a very unfair representation in the west.

Unfortunately it’s not a country with very safe windows.

Even the TCP sliding windows aren't safe!

[–] Hozerkiller@lemmy.ca 12 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Thats why I always use UDP windows.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Just be careful, the window may not have been installed and no one acknowledged that it was missing.

[–] Hozerkiller@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

Better skip the windows entirely and use BSD or Linux.

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 months ago

Like most Lemmy users, I use Linux

[–] Sparrow_Joint@lemm.ee 8 points 2 months ago

The windows are safe, the fault is due to western gravity.

[–] Litebit@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

They have not updated their windows since windows 3.1 ..

[–] KingThrillgore@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 months ago

Thats why you should stay on the first floor

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Also don't forget all the suicides happening with hard to obtain poisons and shooting oneself in the back of the head three times.

[–] cecilkorik@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They are freely expressing their fear of dangerous western ideas which must be censored to protect the motherland /s

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org 74 points 2 months ago

can't let your citizens know what horrors your government is doing to your next door neighbors

big brain Russians going bigly!

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 36 points 2 months ago

So less cheaters and griefers in online lobbies? Rare Putin W.

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 34 points 2 months ago

Temporary relief to CS lobbies?

[–] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 2 months ago (1 children)

WW3 will have officially started when the west will no longer be able to access CS RIN

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

This seems to be originating at the ISP level so it will only affect Russians. Should be fine for someone connecting from the outside.

It’s the internet version of wearing tighty-whities, gives ‘em the feeling of security.

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 4 points 2 months ago

Title should be Russian users are unable to access cloudflare internet. Open internet is fine.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

They had it coming for those captchas.

[–] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

I hope they can at least get good porn.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

And we can't access a big part of Russian internet since they have decided for us that it's all propaganda

[–] viking@infosec.pub 1 points 2 months ago

Sounds like it's only affecting TCP and TLS, so VPN over UDP would be a quick fix.
