So I bought a sewing machine and tried fitting this old polo:

I highly recommend picking up this skill, it's way easier than I thought it was going to be and the results are just spectacular~

Clothes that fit enbies can be so hard to find, but the trans joy of seeing yourself in something that fits is absolutely worth the work!

Always love seeing enbies rocking cool facial hair! Those glasses also look good on you, really brings out your eyes ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Venn diagram of enbies and people who sew in my friend group is practically a circle, in fact I think I'm the only non-binary person I know who doesn't sew ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Sounds like you've got a new hobby in your future. =3

And thanks so much! I only know one other enby who kept their facial hair so far, but I'm determined to bring back the villainously-curled moustache as a gender-neutral affectation!

I've got my queer villain pride flag and I'm gonna overthrow the allocisheteropatriarchy just by being hot and visible enough to crack trans eggs on sight. =3

It's so rare to find a gendersib! How the heck are ya?

Doing alright, just hanging out with the family and playing some Bloodbourne like a stereotype ๐Ÿ˜…

Tbf I just found this comm today lol. You doing alright?

All things considered, yeah! I've been getting out a lot, doing pride events and hikes and stuff. If the country weren't falling apart I'd be living my best life. XD

Sewing! My mom was a seamstress, so sewing was something I picked up too, and it's great :3

Hard agree! I can hardly sit still through work today, I wanna fire the machine back up and get my fit for pride tomorrow fitted too ~<3

Do it! Or just recycle some old clothes, I've got a pile of shirts that don't fit me anymore that I'll be able to wear again soon~<3

Looking good! I've been thinking about picking up making clothes as a hobby.

[โ€“] knightly@pawb.social 3 points 2 months ago

Thanks! and Do It!!

Looking good! How'd you tailor them? Taking in the waist?

Also, sewing machine tax? I'd love to see what you picked. I have an Eversewn 30s and it's saved me so much money by helping me repair my pants.

I've done a bit of light clothing and costume creation. My most complicated project so far has been a plaid skirt for my boyfriend--matching patterns is finicky.

Yep! I used a tank top that fits almost perfectly as a template for how far I needed to bring in the side seams. It's probably not the neatest way of doing so, but it's easy

Lol, I bought the cheapest sewing machine they had at Walmart, a Singer M1000. Got the feeling that I'm going to outgrow it soon.

Matching patterns is too much for me at this point. Solid colors only 'til I start to learn what the heck I'm doing.
