Is there a way it tool to use shapefiles to update the #openstreetmap ? I have some channel extracted from a DEM I want to add to a woodland.

@malte @qgis @qgisDE @openstreetmap IIRC @josmeditor https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ has support with a plugin, otherwise simply convert to GeoJSON and you can use JOSM and @vespucci_editor. Naturally you should check that you are permitted to use the DEM to contribute to OSM.

Yes, JOSM has GeoJSON and OpenData plugins.

The technical side is only half of it though as the source has to meet the license requirements and there is a process to follow for imports:

Great! Thank you, I looked into JOSM befit but didn’t really now what to look for. (Until now I only used it for HOT tasks.)
I’m afraid you just stole a lot of time from me but made the map better 😬
