Jul 18, 2025 - Fougere Friday - Telegrama Trifecta

  • Brush: Shore Shave Pestle 24mm Motherlode Synthentic Knot
  • Razor: Mühle R41
  • Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Stainless (Green) [9]
  • Lather: Imaginary Authors - Telegrama - Soap
  • Post Shave: Imaginary Authors - Telegrama - Aftershave
  • Fragrance: Imaginary Authors - Telegrama - Eau de Parfum

This is my first use of Telegrama, and I'm all about it. I love how it balances freshness and depth without ever going over the top. There’s also something nostalgic about it, though I can’t quite put my finger on it yet.

  • Brush: Zenith 506B MB (27 mm × 51 mm Manchurian badger)
  • Razor: Thiers Issard Le Dandy (5/8", square point, carbon steel)
  • Lather: Southern Witchcrafts – Tres Matres
  • Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co – Orange Chill
  • Fragrance: Acqua di Parma – Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri

Last day of work before summer break, let's do this! I went with a very summery setup with a citrus throughline, I smell great, and I'm counting the minutes until work's done.

I'm thinking this will be my AA soap and splash, it's a very nice combination.

Happy Friday y'all!

  • Brush: AP Shave Co Summer 28mm G5C
  • Razor: Koraat 14 "Moarteen" 15/16" Full Hollow
  • Razor: Henckels Friodur 72-V 6/8 Half Hollow Square Point
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - I, Rich Moose - Soap
  • Toner: Thayers - Cucumber - Toner
  • Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co. - I, Rich Moose - Aftershave
  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz - Sir Irisch Moos - Eau de Cologne

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

The Moose and Moarteen will be my AA setup. The Moarteen I used today, though, belongs to @snooting@sub.wetshaving.social and the Friodur belongs to u/putneycj. Today's shave was a shave test of two new edges. Both razors have the same Jnat edge; a progression of nagura on a Nakayama Maruka Shohonyama. Could I tell the difference in steel? No. The edge on both razors was great for me, and the only difference was the grind. The 72-V is half hollow, and the Moarteen is full hollow. The shave quality was equivalent.

Thanks for honing my razor! Can’t wait to try it out :)

I could not make it to the P.O. today. It will be on its way on Monday.

  • Brush: AP Shave Co. black & clear handle w/ 30 mm Tuxedo Fan knot
  • Razor: Stando Perun
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: A&E - Peach & Cognac
  • Post-Shave: Southern Witchcrafts - Pomona AS

-> single pass head shave at night. Fast and comfortable.

I forgot that I own this razor, only remembered when I threw away the old packaging of it (among other things) yesterday. It had some rust, but I was able to get it off with some cleaner. Still need to treat the coating with something, but it already shaved very well. This one is the Stando model where everything is set to neutral/medium IIRC and these seem to be very good for my skin.

Peaches & Cognac follwed by Pomona was an interesting fruity, sweet and slightly spicy progression. It hurts a bit to use Pomona considering SWs recent folding, but still better than letting it rot.

For me it's already Sunday night, I have to work in the early shift this weekend again. Well, let's hope it won't be too stressful... Have a nice weekend ✌🏻
