You can choose which part you want, however where exactly is random based on the birth rate (if a region has a higher birth rate it is more likely that you are born there). What part would you choose and why?

C. It contains China's eastern seaboard which is the dominant prosperity region of this century. The stable long term planning and responsible investment into people is unrivalled and only beginning to pay back return on that investment.

Yeah but since it's population based it's a coin flip of whether you end up in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan instead, which are kind of the opposite of what you mentioned.

If you really want to live in China, pick E. The population is probably dominated by large Chinese cities anyway (chongqing, Wuhan, Hong Kong and shenzhen) so you'd probably end up there.

I just realized I have never left part D in my life... Gotta travel more

Well considering my political proclivities E is a pretty solid choice. Just praying I don't get myanmar or Cambodia

If I go F, what's the probability of being born in R'Lyeh?

[–] Jhogenbaum@leminal.space 3 points 2 weeks ago

Probably higher birthrate than the Antarctic

[–] Iceblade02@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Probably:

K>B>H>E>G. They all have decently developed countries whilst ensuring that you don't end up born in a developing country.

For the big slices, F should be best (guaranteed to avoid the worst outcomes).

K is probably most likely to be a good life. B is my second choice.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Are you a big fan of Mexico?

[–] zxqwas@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Bigger fan than most of the other options that was presented.

[–] callyral@pawb.social 3 points 2 weeks ago

K > B > F > A > H > E in order of best to worst in my opinion.

I wouldn't really consider the others

[–] Vupware@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

B and hope I get a Central America spawn.

K is objectively the right answer. Probably followed by A with a a bit of a dice roll on West Africa. Who wants to be born in a poor country?

I really like the concept here, but it needs some tweaking.

Even if this wasn't included I was already thinking of this. A, C and I all seem like they have rather good odds at putting you somewhere in Africa.

[–] Horsey@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

G as first choice, J is a close second.
