Marjorie Taylor Greene hears about an Asian tick invasion and says this justifies why TikTok should be banned.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Ya she wants to make sure she's the biggest parasite in America

[–] SaakoPaahtaa@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Idk, do I really look like a deep state government official?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Why is it any worse than any other commercial social media company? Unless you mean they should all be banned.

[–] SaakoPaahtaa@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't like it. I'm not going for a consistent judgment, but a good one.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So your reason for banning TikTok is "I don't like it?"

[–] Kalothar@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Breed opossums and unleash them upon the local area

[–] captainjaneway@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)
[–] Kalothar@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Okay, no opposums, no snakes on this convo branch.

how about a shit ton of guinea fowl?

[–] captainjaneway@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Lol I mean I'll do anything to get rid of ticks. They freak me out.

[–] piecat@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

That just means we need more opossums, and I fail to see the downside

[–] Rodeo@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Then we'll have to breed a predator to care of the opossum problem ....

[–] Kalothar@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 year ago

Okay? I got this. How do we feel about snakes?

[–] spyd3r@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

What about flamethrowers?

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Welcome and praise our new tick overlords with a blood offering.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Most likely, find their natural predators and diseases to control the ticks.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wow. That is a crazy tick.

[–] guyrocket@kbin.social 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Enough of them can suck a cow dry of blood! Insane!

[–] The_Jit@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago
