STOP CONFUSING ME!
You're on almost every single post I see, it's quite scary.
There aren’t that many of us here lol
There's that guy "K O L A N A K I" that I swear is in every thread.
Ha! They are doing better than chronic lurkers like me :D
He's got an abnormal number of arms, that's why.
Unidan 2.0??
Or Gallowboob.
Fuck em both.
"We exclusively fly to map insets" - Hawaskan Airlines
I feel like pretty soon we'll have one airline, one gaming studio, one brick and mortar supermarket, etc.
Oh this is a great thing.
I frequently fly between the islands and mainland.
Hawaiian is an overpriced joke.
No wifi, two to three times the price of southwest interisland, same compared with Alaska to mainland. I only fly Alaska to mainland. 8 dollar internet, no bullshit around bags, consistently good results in scheduling or delays, and when they fuck up , they make it right.
If they could get Hawaiian (which pret nds to be luxury but has fewer features than discount carriers) to be competitive with southwest interisland..
Wait, are the luxury hot pockets not really a luxury? Based in HNL and every flight back to mainland is a hassle, Hawaiian has two directs I fly. I don’t mind southwest for sub 3 hour flights but cross ocean, I want to know my seat assignment and have the extra leg room for my tall-self. Let’s see how this shakes out.
Wait, are the luxury hot pockets not really a luxury?
😂 😅 😂 😂 😂 😅 😅 🤣 Actually lold at this. Right?
And also, 100%. I would never fly SW on anything other than interisland.
I fly Alaska and only Alaska if I'm leaving the island. Too much bad blood with Delta, and the wifi is better/ more consistent.
I feel you. I fly whatever gets me there direct. I’m just a transplant for a term and have Executive Platinum on American but man, red eyes dont work for my business travel. Let me arrive early AM for a business meeting? Nope, that’s means I’m spending an extra day to fly in early and hoping whatever Marriot I’m staying in will let me check in early. Joys of business travel.
Safe travels!
Just please don’t increase the cost of island hopping, it’s our only option.
?
Compared to southwestss prices Hawaiian is a joke Fewer flights and twice the price.
I meant aircraft in general. If the prices of one starts going up too much, it’s cover for everyone else to raise prices too. Just how it works here with everything.
Southwest has been consistently cheaper and remained cheaper for a very long time.
Hawaiian sells mostly to tourists and seem to cater to an older more 'luxury' crowd.
I’m not disputing your point, but pricing is relative, and if the lack of competition between Alaskan and Hawaiian results in their prices eventually going up, then it’s possible that Southwest’s prices, while still being cheaper, will also go up.
I mean it could be, but then, why doesn't SW just raise prices now to meet Hawaiian?
Hawaiian is very expensive and has not so many flights. I'm doing big island to Oahu at least 3-6 times a year and I almost never take Hawaiian because its always more expensive. Local kine always seem to go SW for like, sports games, visit family etc.
I think Hawaiian is just for tourists. They buy Hawaiian cus they dont know better and Hawaiian is better at marketing the off island flights.
I’m understanding now where the dingdong part of your name comes from.
edit: honestly tho, it’s amazing that “I’m not disputing your point” and “while still being cheaper” apparently didn’t get across to you.
Obviously, if Southwest raised their prices to match Hawaiian now or at any time, then they would no longer be the cheaper alternative, duh. If Hawaiian and Alaskan decide to raise their prices enough, Southwest can also raise their prices and still be the cheaper alternative. This isn’t hard to understand.
Expecting nothing to change in the future just makes it hard for me to believe that you and I live in the same state, watching the same financial trends.
I really thought Alaska already owned HA
And so it begins. The inset wars.
I wonder if this will create a point card opportunity if the frequent flier programs merge?
Now this is diversification
