Amerikkkan pilots continue to engage in anti imperialist action 🫡

[-] ComradeSalad@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 6 months ago

I salute my anti-imperialist hero John McCain. He's my favorite North Vietnamese ace.

wouldn't it be amazing if these crashes were caused by some electronic warfare weapon? imagine the neutering effect of not being able to trust your flying death machines anymore..

i often wish there was a way to neutralize the massive threat of the US war machine without a hot war

[-] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 34 points 6 months ago

This Chinese weapon exists and is already being discussed in the US as a threat to national security, it's referred to as 'Chinese garlic'.

[-] PoY@lemmygrad.ml 24 points 6 months ago

wow.. at first i thought you were just taking the piss, then i searched for chinese garlic weapon and saw actual results... then i read one of the articles..

holy shit i want out of this timeline

Electronic warfare is a massive part of the Ukraine war, been following the Russian sides devolopment of them and they have given like 3-4 jammers for every tank, they put them on each corner.

Ukrainian drones have started to report white static washes when flying near Russians, its interesting but I think most militaries arent fully playing there hand in terms of what level of jamming they are actually capable of yet.

No, it wouldn’t be great because that means escalation.

The reason the US conducts these flybys is on the slim chance that someone shoots it down.

[-] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 6 points 6 months ago

Also to make it more able to escalate suddenly by having a "normalized" presence dicking around that can be redirected to violence, right?

[-] ComradeSalad@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 6 months ago

Plus aircraft still have mechanical redundancies that the pilot can control in case the electronics are shot or knocked offline. Just because you knock out the electrical systems on a jet doesn’t mean it’ll instantly fall out of the sky, a pilot can still read physical maps, and fly a plane without autopilot assists.

Even if you neutralize every single jet, tank, and ship in the US military, instantly through some miracle, how are you going to neutralize MIRVS?

[-] redtea@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 6 months ago

Assuming that B*eing didn't win the contract for the mechanical failsafe bit.

[-] ComradeSalad@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 6 months ago

Don't you dare disrespect our comrades at Boeing and Northupp Grumman!

They have downed and sabotaged countless aircraft. How many war machines have you destroyed?

[-] redtea@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 6 months ago

😂😂😂

[-] Hestia@hexbear.net 28 points 6 months ago

Hamas is so powerful they're crashing planes near South Korea!

[-] Aquilae@hexbear.net 25 points 6 months ago

How could Hamas do this

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh.

Breathe it in. Fill your lungs. Hold it there. Roll your eyes back. Loosen your grip.

That hit will hold you for a while, but never as long as the last one.

Now back to the shit heap.

"Made in the USA" is the new "Made in China"

[-] Aru@lemmygrad.ml 22 points 6 months ago

Made in china back in the day: extremely cheap breaks fast

Made in USA now: extremely expensive, breaks fast

[-] redtea@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Even worse. At least the old made in China could be repaired. Thanks to new manufacturing methods, everything made today is soldered together.

At least if it's made in modern China it's soldered properly. Nobody in the States remembers how to do that. Hence the pilot pulls a bit too hard and unsticks the Screwless Steering Stick^TM^ and the whole thing goes into nose dive.

That's also the problem with the F-35. So much solder that when it goes into submarine mode it sinks too fast for it to fill up with air.

F16 returns to its natural habitat.

[-] D61@hexbear.net 6 points 6 months ago

Its batteries felt the call of their ancestral home.

🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀

[-] D61@hexbear.net 13 points 6 months ago

Pilot made an attack helicopter joke and the plane decided to try to be submarine in response.

[-] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 12 points 6 months ago

Comrade gravity strikes again.

[-] kredditacc@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 6 months ago

Vietnam was looking to buy some F-16, only for the US to display incompetence like this.

[-] Addfwyn@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Hey it is an improvement. Usually the US military aims their debris at elementary schools in my country. I figured they had to deal with the same in occupied Korea.
