Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing fine and are well prepared for the winter holidays!

We at Dramatic Labs want to sweeten the festive season a little and are therefore giving away a total of 10 copies of Star Trek Resurgence on a platform of your choice (PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC).

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game created by former members of Telltale Games that delivers all the excitement and wonder of the Star Trek universe. Join the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute as first officer Jara Rydek and enlisted engineer Carter Diaz on a mission to prevent an eons-old and powerful force from engulfing everything in its wake!

To take part, you have to comment on which Star Trek games you grew up with and which one was your favourite. The 10 winners will be randomly selected and contacted by me. The giveaway will run until 21st December 23:59 CET.

Grew up with birth of the federation and armada. My favorite was birth of the federation. Wish an updated version of it was released.

Grew up with Elite Force I + II, and later Star Trek Online. The latter was my favourite, spent lots of hours there.

My first one was Star Trek TNG: Advanced Holodeck Tutorial for Game Gear. I wasn't really a trekkie back then (had watched a few of the TOS movies with my dad and liked them but didn't really care much about Star Trek until around the 30th anniversary I think). I remember thinking the game's enterprise design was dumb and wanted the stylized one from the movies back (and Kirk and Spock and Scotty instead of these "random stand-ins" :P)

And I think my favorite one was a heavily modded Bridge Commander. I didn't really play much of the actual game (or "the campaign" as kids call it today) but spent probably around 100 hours playing custom scenarios, battles from the movies and shows.

I played several games but the one that stands out the most to me is Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. EF was based on the Quake III engine (idTech 3) and came with QERadiant, amongst other tools, that let you make your own maps for it. The story for the game was awesome and it was the first game that I think did justice to the atmosphere present in the show with only a little bit of the cheese. Once I finished the game, I went right into making my own levels for it. It was really amazing. I miss games like that and the fact that they came with the editing tools for them.

Star trek Voyager: Elite force!

It was so good for its time. I loved it so much as a kid. I especially loved the portable pattern buffer being a great in-universe solution to explain how a game character can carry many different weapons. It fits so well into the universe that I half expected to see such a thing on the shows someday. It would have been too disruptive to plot development for the characters always to have what they need with them, though.

Atari 5200 Trek. I absolutely loved that game as a kid and I still have the box and manual to this day.

That and PacMan are the only two games I had on the system. A beloved neighbor bought it brand new in the box from a yard sale and gave it to me around the the time the SNES came out.

Once we got that the Atari collected dust. We moved on and beat Super Mario World over and over again.

I still have a sweet spot for that game. Unfortunately the last time I dug the Atari out the controllers didn’t work any more.

Star Trek DS9: Crossroads of Time on Super Nintendo.

My favorite memory of it was from the first day: a friend telling me I couldn't use the same phaser twice against Borg drones. I was confident they wouldn't put a detail like like that in a game. Not two seconds later, the very next drone blocked my phaser. (Clearly one of Trek's ongoing lessons in the arrogance of man. Ahem.)

Seems silly looking back to think game devs wouldn't care as much (or more!) as I did about Star Trek to add in ideas like that.

Not strictly canon, but I have fond memories of Apple Trek on the Apple II. Growing up I played Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Klingon Honor Guard. More recently I got the PS3 game based on the Kelvin timeline movies. But my favourite to date has been Star Trek Bridge Crew, I've really enjoyed the immersion of it.

I played an Interplay star Trek point and click game as a kid that I was terrible at, but really enjoyed. Also Elite Forces was FANTASTIC

I honestly can't remember the name of it... I remember an old NES or SNES game where you would take crew members on away missions. I think that part of the game was a platformer.

More recently I had fun with the VR bridge crew game. I think I prefer the old school game I played as a kid.

Oh man, I would have to say Birth of the Federation, but I also love me some 25th Anniversary and A Final Unity. There was a stretch of some decent Star Trek games in the 90s!

Oh god, I remember my 20s; seeing in the new millennium and beyond playing Episode 1 Racer for days with my mate John on his Playstation ;)
