My sister in law is about to give birth to her second child. We live on the other side of the country from them. My wife’s parents are visiting from over seas to help with the baby. So Thanksgiving will be a rare chance to get the whole family together. So we are going to their house.

I have decided I want to make everyone a nice traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve got the turkey locked down and mashed potatoes and gravy are non-negotiable for me. As for the rest, I want to make a few quick easy side dishes to round things out and give them a good experience with as little disruption to my sister in law’s house and peace of mind as I can.

So how would you round things out from here? Oh and I’ve already ordered pumpkin and apple pies for dessert.
