Unfortunately this is not a new idea. But it is usually framed in, the young will support the older generation, as if there isn't ample resources to do that as is...

Oil men the world over share a common disdain for regular people.. their greed knows no borders, they are loyal to nothing but their own wealth, and they've always loved working together to keep each other rich.. rich men also love watching poor people fight to the death on their behalf.. especially if the weapons are dramatic..
